Everyday Framing · Simple choices for meaningful pieces
A good frame. A sensible starting point.
Give a diploma, certificate or favorite poster a place on your wall. Start with a straightforward presentation and explore more custom options when your piece calls for them.
Standard-size packages for online ordering are coming soon. Explore the framing options and measuring guide below.
Diploma & Certificate Frames
Celebrate a high school graduation, college degree, professional qualification or personal achievement. A simple frame lets the document take center stage; a mat adds a border around it.
Start with the document size
Measure the full paper from edge to edge in inches. Check both width and height—diplomas and certificates vary by school and institution. Note whether the document hangs horizontally or vertically.
Leave room for the details
Seals, signatures and text close to the edge matter. When planning a mat, we check the opening against the actual document so the important details remain visible.
Have an unusually sized diploma or want school colors, a layered mat or a different frame? Our custom-framing service can help you plan the presentation.
Turn a concert poster, travel print, rodeo poster or favorite art print into a finished display. Start with a clean, uncomplicated frame, or explore a matted presentation for a different look.
Measure the entire print
Use the full paper width and height, including any printed border. The artwork size, mat opening and outside frame dimensions are different measurements.
Choose the presentation
A frame without a mat keeps the display compact. A mat creates space around the print and requires a larger frame. Oversized prints, unusual dimensions and specialty finishes can follow the custom route.
Looking for artwork already framed? Browse our available barn wood framed Western art.
Lay the document or print flat and measure its full width and height. Do not measure an existing frame’s outside edges. If you want a mat, record the paper size first; the opening and frame size can then be planned around it. For a valuable or delicate original, discuss mounting and glazing with our framing team before choosing a package.
Your original. Framed in Sturgis. Shipped home free.
Our upcoming mail-in framing service will let you order and pay online, then send your physical diploma, certificate or poster to our framing shop. Free shipping of the finished frame back to you within the United States is included.
Choose your package and pay upfront
Select the size and available frame option. Review what is included before paying. The $49 starter package includes a frame, glass and backing, with no mat, for the listed up-to-11 Ă— 14 size tier.
Mail your original
You arrange shipment of the physical document or poster to our shop. Wait for your order confirmation and packing instructions before mailing it, and include your order number so we can match your piece to your order. A digital upload does not replace the original for this service.
We receive and frame your piece
Our team checks the received item against the ordered size and package before framing. If the piece needs a different package or additional work, we contact you before proceeding.
Free shipping back to you
Once framing is complete, we pack the finished piece and ship it back to your United States delivery address.
Local to the Black Hills? You can bring your piece to Sturgis Photo & Gifts instead of mailing it. Our store is at 1081 Main Street, Sturgis.

Picture & art framing
Custom frames for photographs, artwork, prints and posters. Explore frame styles, mat colors and glass choices together so the finished piece works with both the artwork and the room where it will hang.
02
Canvas printing & stretching
Bring a digital photograph or design to life on canvas. We offer canvas printing and stretching, and can discuss framing options for your finished canvas. Already have a canvas? Ask us about stretching and fitting it for display.
03
Shadow boxes & keepsakes
Give meaningful objects room to tell their story. We create shadow boxes for memorabilia and keepsakes, planning the depth, layout and mounting around the items you bring. Bring the actual objects so we can assess the best approach.
04
Diplomas & achievements
Celebrate a graduation, professional qualification or personal milestone with a custom-framed diploma, certificate or award. Matting and frame choices can create a clean, classic presentation or reflect your own style.
05
Photo printing, restoration & design
Print a favorite picture, restore an older photograph digitally, prepare a custom design or plan a coordinated arrangement of images. We also offer large-format printing. We can discuss file quality, print size and the look you want before the printing and framing work begins.
06
Frame repairs & new glass
A damaged frame or broken glass does not always mean starting over. Ask about frame repairs, replacement picture-frame glass and refreshed matting. We inspect the piece first and explain what work is practical.
07
Jerseys, flags & record albums
Celebrate a team, preserve a flag or display a favorite record album. We plan the frame depth and mounting around the piece, with shadow-box options for items that need extra space.
08
Maps, puzzles & kids’ artwork
Frame a map that marks an adventure, a completed puzzle or a young artist’s favorite creation. Bring your piece so we can discuss its size, condition and display options.
09
Mat cutting & multi-mat design
Explore mat colors, borders and layered arrangements alongside our frame samples. We cut mats in-house and help you choose a combination that complements your photograph or artwork.

Clarity, reflections & protection
Let’s choose the right glass.
Picture-frame glass is often called glazing. Its job can include more than covering the artwork. We can discuss how different glass choices affect reflections, viewing clarity and UV protection in the place you plan to hang your piece.
Clear glass
A straightforward viewing option for many everyday framing projects. Ask us which glass is suitable for your piece and whether it offers any UV filtering.
UV-filtering glass
Designed to reduce exposure to ultraviolet light. UV protection and reflection reduction are separate properties, so UV-filtering glass can still show reflections.
Anti-reflective glass
Designed to reduce visible reflections and improve the view of the artwork. Anti-reflective coatings differ from matte, non-glare finishes; ask to compare the look of the available options.
Museum & conservation glass
Some premium glazing combines UV filtering with anti-reflective performance. We can discuss whether that extra clarity and protection makes sense for your artwork and budget.
Glass performance depends on the specific product selected. UV filtering does not prevent all fading: visible light, heat and display conditions also matter. Keep artwork out of direct sunlight. We confirm available glazing and product specifications when quoting your project.
